The Irreplaceable: Wildlife in a Warming World campaign is a partnership of faith, science, justice, and art to educate policymakers and the public about the impacts of global warming on wildlife.
Synergema was brought in by the CHANGEffect branding agency to develop an online strategy that married with their existing branding, print and marketing strategy. The project presented itself with many challenges including finding a way to show the importance of saving these magnificent animals while still presenting the content in a manner that was usable to the site’s visitors and compelled them to action. We created a design that highlighted the beauty and majesty of these endangered animals, and if you pay special attention, the Irreplaceable Wildlife team wanted visitors to feel like they were looking over the top of parchment paper to the forest.
Another significant challenge was to develop a strategy to implement the design in the Convio system. The Convio system had a number of predefined ways in which a site should be structure and function, and many of our ideas were not possible without some out-of-the-box thinking by our team. Our developers wrote a number of scripts to overcome these challenges to present a site that was not only visually appealing but implemented all of our functional specifications.
